Boy oh boy! The trials and tribulations that this human groups encounters while trying to accomplish their tasks to save humanity is nail biting for sure. Just when I think we may make it through without more losses, I am crying out NOOOO to the latest. I truly wanted to see the core of this group make it back alive and whole. Wibell has me crying, asking the characters to be strong and make it through or laughing at the humorous parts. This book seems a bit darker than the rest in the series but it does give Lif a chance to grow more in confidence in her role. I am here anxiously waiting for the next book to see how our band of heroes overcome their next challenges. And for the love of Pete, Lif and Brasir need to get their relationship figured out and become the couple we all know they should be. Great job once again Katharine Wibell!

Oh man! I love the twists and turns and how well this story picks up from the last one! This world is wonderful for those who love Nordic themes, mythology, history, etc and I highly recommend!
Lif is a great character and a strong FMC and we have traveled to so many unique and treacherous territories with her.
I am very much looking forward (impatiently) for the next installation to this story!

This book was unexpected. The twists and turns it took caught me off guard. I’m still processing it and what it means for the characters. The way the world and characters develop and grow in each book has me connected and emotionally invested. I can’t not wait for the next book!
