Zada 5: Path of the One

1)      What is your Author name; use your Pen name if you have one.

R D Moreno.

2)      What inspired you to become a writer?

 I have always been intrigued with Sci-Fi and Fantasy from the time I first saw Forbidden Planet when I was a young kid. Then fantasy with Jason and the Argonauts. I was hooked from then on, but when I was a young teen, and read Dune. That is when I knew I wanted to write Sci-Fi.

3)      How did you come up with your cover design?

We did a cover contest with 99 designs. When I saw a variation of the one I am using now, I knew with some minor changes it was the one.

4)      How far along are you on your current work-in-progress?

This is my first published book, but I am currently working on my fifth book in the series.

5)      What is your favorite way to connect with readers? (Social media, newsletters or something else)

Right now, it is mostly TikTok. I do have a Facebook author page and am currently working on building my first quarterly newsletter.

6)      Have you ever taken a course on writing or advertising? If so, which one(s) and how would you rate them?

I took and short story course in High School for one quarter, but that has been it.

7)      Who did you dedicate your first book to and why?

I really did not do a dedication in my first book, but it should have gone to my family for supporting me while I have been writing.

8)      Which book villain would be the hardest to defeat?

It would be Craven.

9)      What is your best book memory?

Being able to get it finished in six months.

10)  How many books do you try to read each year?

 I am a slow reader so I would say my 15 because I try to read and write at the same time.

11)  What is your favorite quote and why?

No matter where you go, there you are. I think the quote answers it self.

12)  What is your favorite book that you have read this year?

The Return flight.

13)  How do you arrange your bookshelves? (Color, alphabetical or another method)

I organize them from technical to fiction.

14)  What is the name of your book/series? Tell me a little bit about them.

Zada 5 is the series name. Path of the one is my only published book so far:
