The Guardian's Speaker

Volume Three

A bounty was on her head.

Líf had been unable to stop the sentence of full outlawry that was now imposed upon her and her entire family. They escaped their enemy’s grasp only by sailing away once again, although this time, it was to the very outskirts of Midgard, the world of man. They were compelled to continue their quest no matter what the cost.

Líf had set free the slave, Brasir, forcing his owners to give chase and threaten their very lives. Misfortune had clung to her since birth, for she had the ability to see and speak with everyone’s animal-shaped guardian spirits—an attribute that drew more skepticism than belief. Yet Brasir claimed he shared a similar gift—one which currently steered their longship further north to speak with the seeress whom they prayed had answers.

The only way their sentence would be revoked was to prove that Brasir spoke the truth. Unfortunately, his assertion was far more dire.

If their world was truly in peril, could one man stop calamity? Or was this endeavor doomed from the start?

A fantastic action packed third installment in a fabulous series. I absolutely admore Lif and Thray. I really love the descriptions of real life in a Vikings' ship and the fears and lives Norse people would've had.

I love fylgja and absolutely wish I had one I could interact with. I wonder what type if create my fylgja would be?
Lif is really starting to come out of her shell and take centre stage. She's always been strong but she is really becoming a force to be recond with. She may become a sheildmaiden yet. Can't wait for book 4!!

Each Installment is better than the last

Maybe the author hates me, that’s all I can think. She is torturing me with this wonderful story! This was another great installment to a beautiful Nordic world. Lif and her family are now outlaws who discover that they have to travel to unbelievable world.

That plot twist!!!

Despite Líf’s bravery and resilience, she now has a bounty on her head as a result of her decisions. For freeing Brasir the slave, Líf and her entire family must pay the price. And now, their journey, long and fraught with danger, leads them to the outskirts of Midgard.

These Viking novellas keep getting better and better!!! I loved seeing Líf gain some confidence in this one. I’m also super intrigued by her and Brasir’s unique relationship. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

Ok...this series is getting so good!!! There is way more action in Volume 3 and I am loving it! Lif has grown as a character. She is now embracing her gift and using it to her advantage. She is stronger and less fearful than she was in Volume One. She is getting to know the crew of the ship and slowly building trust. Faced with what seems to be an outrageous adventure, Lif and her associates face it head on. And this is where we are: we are left facing a new adventure and it is amazing.
